WikiLeaks

WikiLeaks: Espionage Redefined ~ by Michael Stollaire

Have you noticed that most of the attention has been focused on WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange, regarding the massive leak that was just published, which makes our global diplomats look like junior high-school idiots? The content of these diplomatic cables reads like outtakes from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and I thought I was mistakenly tuned into TMZ, for some reason.

Julian Assange

Julian Assange

Unlike most, I’ve viewed this from a different perspective, as I truly believe that we should be taking a look at why we gave a Top Secret clearance to a low-ranking Private in the military, with previous disciplinary issues ~ it seems that thousands of individuals in government positions also have inappropriate access privileges, which gives us even more opportunities to throw caution to the wind. I thought the Chinese internet traffic diversion scandal was top-notch, but I stand corrected.

“Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American peoples’ liberty teeth and keystone under independence… From the hour the pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to ensure peace, security, and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable…The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that is good.” ~ George Washington

Security should be very straight-forward and based on the industry Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), which is to deny all privileges and allow access on a “need to know” basis. You guessed it… that Private didn’t need to know that Secretary of State Clinton thought Hamid Karzai was a paranoid delusional. In fact, I have no idea why diplomats are abusing the cabling system to transmit useless information like this in the first place. If anyone wants to know what you are saying behind someone’s back, submit that to the E! Channel instead of cabling it to Washington, DC ~ maybe Secrest will put that in like the Paris Hilton vs. Nicole Richie slap-a-thon sequel.

Secretary of Misanthropic Silly Walks

Secretary of Misanthropic Silly Walks

Do you remember when Obama was campaigning in 2008, and he hammered away at The Bush Administration’s foreign policy decisions, basically saying that “Dubya” was running DC like kids at recess playing dodge ball, and that after he took office, America would be respected again? Whoops!

Now that that’s out of the way, back to WikiLeaks. I’ve heard a lot of noise about how they should not have been given the right to publish this information, as it is a violation of America’s national security. I totally disagree, as Assange has his rights to freedom of speech and freedom of the press. The real problem here is that the information should have never leaked out in the first place!

Espionage

Espionage

Of course, now that the information has been published on the internet ~ with more to come… ~ we can proceed to take a closer look at whether or not WikiLeaks broke any laws, most notably The Espionage Act of 1917:

“President Woodrow Wilson and Attorney General Thomas Watt Gregory supported passage of the act, but viewed it as a compromise. The President’s Congressional rivals were proposing to remove responsibility for monitoring pro-German activity, whether espionage or some form of disloyalty, from The Department of Justice to The War Department and creating a form of courts-martial of doubtful constitutionality. The resulting Act was far more aggressive and restrictive than they wanted, but it disarmed critics of their conduct of the war on the home front. Officials in The Justice Department who had little enthusiasm for the law nevertheless hoped that even without generating many prosecutions it would help quiet public calls for more government action against those thought to be insufficiently patriotic.

It made it a crime:

  • To convey information with intent to interfere with the operation or success of The Armed Forces of The United States or to promote the success of its enemies. This was punishable by death or by imprisonment for not more than 30 years or both.
  • To convey false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of The United States or to promote the success of its enemies when The United States is at war, to cause or attempt to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, refusal of duty, in the military or naval forces of The United States, or to willfully obstruct the recruiting or enlistment service of The United States. This was punishable by a maximum fine of $10,000 fine or by imprisonment for not more than 20 years or both.

The Act also gave The Postmaster General authority to refuse to mail or to impound publications that he determined to be in violation of its prohibitions.

The Act also forbids the transfer of any naval vessel equipped for combat to any nation engaged in a conflict in which the United States is neutral. Seemingly uncontroversial when the Act was passed, this later became a legal stumbling block for the administration of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, when he sought to provide military aid to Great Britain before the United States entered World War II.

So, there you have it. Assange and WikiLeaks are definitely in violation of The Espionage Act, due to this segment:

“To convey information with intent to interfere with the operation or success of The Armed Forces of The United States or to promote the success of its enemies… or to promote the success of its enemies when The United States is at war…

Obviously, between this diplomatic leak and the previous publishing of hundreds of thousands of leaked documents associated with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, we have a degree of espionage that James Bond would be proud of.

James Bond

James Bond

Watch… Assange will be tried in a military tribunal, but “9-11 Mastermind”  Khalid Shiekh Mohammed won’t. What next?!

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

Assange is obviously using subversive methods in order to undermine the integrity and security of the foundation of America, so why aren’t we issuing arrest warrants, arranging for extradition, and mobilizing Interpol?

Interpol

Interpol

Because we are obviously scared of whatever else this tool is hiding that we are unaware of, such as the upcoming bank leak, which will most likely make Bank of America look like Al Capone, for instance. Perhaps we ARE aware of what WikiLeaks has on us, making us petrified under a cloak of unveiled blackmail and extortion? Here we go… Watergate II ~ The Long-Awaited Sequel.

“He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.” ~ Benjamin Franklin

You have to admit that this snaky bastard is clever. Before the first announcement of leaked material, he has already made a bazillion copies of the stuff, and proliferated it around the globe to trusted friends and allies. Of course, if he is taken out, the order is to cut loose, releasing a worldwide bot net of high-level mudslinging, with the strategic objective of inflicting as much damage as possible, and perhaps leading to world anarchy, so dust off your Black Flag record collection. It makes you wonder what information Assange is sandbagging, which he has already distributed ~ you can bet that he has got the data equivalent of depleted uranium (DU) shells.

The Blag Flag ~ Symbol of Anarchy

The Blag Flag ~ Symbol of Anarchy

Whatever the case, we are officially screwed.

In my opinion, we might as well go after him full-bore immediately, instead of letting the world know that he has got America by the short hairs. We have got the equivalent of the Band-Aid rip-it-off-quick-as-Hell scenario here: if we cut loose, he will blast us with everything he has got in hiding; however, that will eventually trickle out anyway, so you might as well go in guns a blazin’, and get kicked in the head ~ or, emmm… other areas of the body… ~ really hard once, instead of taking a gut-check every month and looking completely incompetent.

I would love to blame this all on Assange and WikiLeaks and paint them as the evil demons that made the world a bad place to live, but the truth is that it is America’s fault for putting in inept security controls, based on a clearance system that is obviously in need of a complete audit and overhaul, so low-ranking clerks that are filing reports in The Bering Strait, do not have access to Top Secret information. Did I really have to say that?!

“You cannot establish security on borrowed money.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

Last but not least, let’s get all of the diplomats on the same page ~ including Clinton… ~ and make sure they realize that if they want to call someone names anonymously and behind their back, make fun of someone’s hair style, etc. that they can create a Twitter account, instead of issuing cables to DC. Can you see Hillary taking one of those infamous “peace” shots in the mirror, a la Miley Cyrus, and sending out a status update about why she prefers butter instead of margarine to her “tweeps?”

I certainly can.

Let’s get to work!

North Korea: The Epic Fail of our Commander In Chief ~ by Michael Stollaire

Do you remember when it took Obama over a month to respond to “The Bay of Rigs” (a.k.a., The Gulf Oil Spill)? You would think he would have learned his lesson about responding immediately and decisively to national emergencies, and remembering that basketball, golf and photo ops are lesser priorities, right? WRONG.

Can you actually visualize Obama having the courage to actually say something along the lines of: “Mr. Ahmaninejad? Tear down your nuclear facilities!” Yes, I’m shaking my head over here in agony. Don’t worry… President Obama is too worried about being politically correct to actually make those words scroll across one of his many teleprompters.

“Believing that the happiness of mankind is best promoted by the useful pursuits of peace, that on these alone a stable prosperity can be founded, that the evils of war are great in their endurance, and have a long reckoning for ages to come, I have used my best endeavors to keep our country uncommitted in the troubles which afflict Europe, and which assail us on every side.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

Since we have forgotten how to fight wars to WIN, we are still in prolonged occupation mode with regard to Afghanistan and Iraq, which has America spread very thin throughout the world,  as far as our military forces and associated expenditures are concerned. Our enemies are not stupid, and in my opinion, Iran and North Korea are taking advantage of this, and acting like small children, seeing what they can get away with before being punished. The difference is that instead of staying up too late watching television, pulling your sister’s hair, etc. we are dealing with highly-enriched uranium and intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).

After the attack by North Korea, we should have seized the opportunity to unite The Korean Peninsula, as this move was an obvious breach of the Korean Armistice. North Korea’s people are starving because of this evil dictatorship, and could be leveraged on the inside of their borders as a standing army that would lead to an insurrection with our targeted support. How many innocent lives have to be lost before Obama will wake up to the fact that he is the leader of the free world? If we acted in this fashion during The Cold War, The Soviet Union would have enveloped the world, and Castro would have most likely had a Summer home in Miami.

“If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known, that we are at all times ready for War.” ~ George Washington

I am simply appalled by the lack of leadership and vision in Washington DC, and actually hold both sides of the aisle accountable for this ludicrous behavior. Can you imagine what would have happened if The Founding Fathers were still in charge, or a President that Americans actually felt safe under like Reagan, when we knew that our leadership had things totally under control, and there was little to no need to keep a watchful eye on them? At this point, we have got rats jumping off of a potentially sinking ship, that are looking out for themselves ~ selfish bastards who are siphoning off the wealth of America, sewing their own golden parachute to be used after they run to the escape hatch.

However, North Korea is unfortunately only the tip of the iceberg. Iran is also gaining momentum, thanks to the assistance of our old friend, Russia ~ here, we see them using their old Proxy War tactics, although in a more covert and subdued tone. They are not letting in United Nations nuclear inspectors, so anyone that believes they are developing a peaceful nuclear power facility is officially psychotic ~ get help now, before it is too late, my friend. If we allow them to go nuclear, then we have got yet another rogue state on our hands like North Korea, run by a lunatic. Unlike Kim Jong-il, Ahmadinejad is an individual that I can see using nuclear weapons against America and Israel in a fashion that will inflict maximum civilian casualties. Upon close inspection, we would most likely uncover the fact that his middle name is actually Jihad.

How long will it take before we realize that our greatest allies on these two fronts are the the people of Iran and North Korea, respectfully? With our assistance, we could see a Tiananmen Square moment in both of these countries, where their own people form an organized militia, followed by a coup of these dictatorial evil regimes. Think about what would transpire if we were to provision an AK-47 to every woman in Iran. We would not even have to lift a finger ~ instead, we would be the facilitator of democracy and freedom.

“History teaches that war begins when governments believe the price of aggression is cheap.” ~ Ronald Reagan

What about our old enemies? They are intimately involved with both Iran and North Korea, and using these countries like pawns, not unlike the Korean and Vietnam conflicts in decades past. If you were Vladimir “Alpha Dog” Putin, wouldn’t you be carrying a grudge since The Soviet Union fell apart, and waiting in the shadows for a moment to avenge the fall of his great empire? What about China? Do you actually think that the same factors that started The Cold War are not still lurking in the background? The ideological stance of both of these nations is absolute, and the stark reality is that they would both like to start the domino theory back into motion. Taken together, they form a land mass that comprises most of The Far East, numbering close to two billion people ~ one-third of the world’s population, and it is only the military might of America that keeps them in check.

Vladimir Putin in KGB Uniform

Vladimir Putin in KGB Uniform

Just as the once-mighty Soviet Union fell, Iran and North Korea will also implode with enough time. Already, their people are starving, and the hints of internal revolutions in both countries are starting to surface. With enough patience, they would both fall apart, certainly. However, they will both be nuclear powers soon, and we simply cannot afford to let that transpire, and any type of aggression against one of our allies like South Korea should be met with an immediate military response, instead of the current method of “control” which is the equivalent of a diplomatic slap on the wrist, calling up China, and reminding them to keep their bastard child under control.

“He who does something at the head of one Regiment, will eclipse him who does nothing at the head of a hundred.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

Why didn’t Obama get on The Red Phone the same moment as he heard about North Korea’s unprovoked attack, asking China to rein them in? Because he is either apathetic, scared… or worse yet, BOTH. We have already witnessed what has transpired during the first two (2) years of his Presidency, where he has put on the ideological blinders and paid no attention to the rest of the world whilst force-feeding his ObamaCare abomination on us. Let’s face it, he’s more concerned with reducing his score on the back nine and improving his jump shot. Another problem lies to our south. The truth and reality is that we are fighting a third front on the border of Mexico, where the drug cartels are literally tunneling underneath American soil, in order to infiltrate and invade the border states of California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. Certainly, it would be a great step forward to put an immigration law on the books of all of these states like Arizona’s, but this is like corking a bottle, after all the water has been poured into it. The truth is that America has already been invaded by Mexico. Pretty soon, Calderon will get on the phone with Barack, to inform him that the advance scouts of the cartels have actually now been assimilated by the Mexican military, and that they have re-annexed California and Texas. This is yet another humiliation, and I am personally embarrassed by the fact that our President has done nothing about this matter, except spout off yet another empty campaign promise about comprehensive federal immigration reform. The time for words is OVER. Now, we want action! I am in Arizona now on business, and cannot believe what I am seeing. There are actually groups of illegal immigrants in the streets of Phoenix, protesting against their treatment in “their country” where they deserve their rights. What the Hell?! They are breaking the law, and are in this country illegally, and they have ZERO rights, except the right to be provisioned a compass and the border patrol pointing them due south. In fact, if our government had any courage whatsoever, or cared about the citizens of Arizona who feel that they have to arm their entire family for protection since the local law enforcement does not have the resources necessary to protect them, they would thank these people that are demonstrating, because they have actually identified themselves as criminals. This article is brought to you by the number SB1070 and the word “DEPORTATION!” Does everyone realize that this is ILLEGAL immigration, meaning IT IS AGAINST THE LAW AND YOU WILL BE PUNISHED? As in, LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO MR. JAIL?! Hellllllooooooooo?!?!?! You’ve got to be freakin’ kidding me. If I were a cop, I would be eternally grateful to these people for protesting, marching, etc. After all, they are making my job easier by identifying themselves as CRIMINALS.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Why not simply round them all up and deport them?! No… instead, we are going to give them a break on tuition in college, although the citizens of America who are here legally and paying taxes will pay normal out-of-state tuition charges. That’s right… this is just ONE example of how illegal immigrants are actually being treated BETTER than American citizens who are abiding by the law. I AM DISGUSTED! RULE #9: IF YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY, AND LEARN TO SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF THIS COUNTRY, THEN GET OUT! IF YOU WANT TO FOLLOW SHARIA LAW, MOVE TO A COUNTRY THAT SUPPORTS IT ~ AMERICA DOES NOT, SO GET OUT! Instead, we are back in Selfish Bastard Land on this one. The reality is that the liberals in this country are turning a blind eye to these outlaws, and the undeclared war on our border to the south. They are more concerned with trying to play a little Hocus Pocus with “Amnesty” in order to create millions of Democrat voters out of thin air ~ they must have learned that trick from The Fed. After all, if a few American citizens die, are shot or get raped, etc. that is no big deal ~ as long as they get re-elected, right? It’s time to DEMAND change… DEMAND that morality return… DEMAND that America remain a land of laws, not men… DEMAND freedom and liberty! DEMAND COURAGE!!! Let’s get to work! God Bless and As Always… Stay Strong, ~ Michael Stollaire Original Post: https://michaelstollaire.wordpress.com http://michaelstollaire.com http://michael-stollaire.com

Happy Thanksgiving ~ What Are YOU Thankful Of?

In 1779, as Governor of Virginia, Jefferson decreed a day of

“Public and solemn thanksgiving and prayer to Almighty God.”

Over the course of the last two centuries, it seems that the idea behind Thanksgiving has been lost. When the Pilgrims came here, they were thankful to have escaped the oppression and tyranny of Europe, and to be alive and well in The New World ~ America… ~ where they could live free in a land of liberty. America is the only place in the world where you can both dream, and achieve your aspirations, with a true incentive for individualism.

Now, we refer to Thanksgiving as “Turkey Day,” and associate the day with gorging ourselves with food, NFL football, and excess. Please take time today to remember what Thanksgiving is REALLY about: a celebration of American freedom and liberty, that you share with those you love the most.

Remember the brave men and women of the military that we can’t thank enough, for fighting to keep us free and safe.

This country and its citizens have been through good times and bad times, at moments, like a roller coaster… However, no matter what, we remember that we are the last best hope of the world.

God bless America ~ HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Net Stupidity ~ The FCC and Soviet Amerika ~ by Michael Stollaire

If you are a stock broker, the time is now to start issuing strong sell recommendations on all telecommunications companies (a.k.a., “telcos”), Cisco, HP, Dell, IBM, Foundry, Juniper, etc. Get ready, because the NASDAQ is about to fall off a cliff, if the FCC‘s proposed “Net Neutrality” garbage is approved later today ~ one of the many absurdities associated with taking advantage of the current Congressional lame duck session. The FCC is obviously attempting to force through their Orwellian mandate whilst the far-left is still in control, and can inflict as much damage as possible, as an irrational last moment of defiance. Let’s just say that the FCC and KGB have more than a three-letter acronym in common.

After the death of Stalin, the secret police abandoned extreme violence and was reorganized to form the KGB in March 1954. All of KGB’s predecessors used terror as the means to control public dissent while using idealism to recruit agents in foreign countries. The problem was that the worst was yet to come…

The US government is leveraging gradualism and incrementalism, and phasing in elements of a police state over the course of time, getting American citizens conditioned to be used to the fact that their freedom and liberty are being stolen from them. What’s worse is that we are actually reinforcing the bastards that they can get away with it, as our “protests” are basically meaningless to the “lords” in Washington DC, and in our state capitals. The truth is that they are using the same method that royalty did in The Middle Ages, introducing some additional form of tyranny and oppression, waiting for the peasants to revolt, but ensuring that they are safe inside their castles made of stone, surrounded by alligator-filled moats, and having archers with flaming arrows ready, along with the obligatory boiling oil. They knew then as they do now that the peasants will make a lot of noise, but eventually they would realize that no matter what they did or said, they would realize it was futile, and eventually disperse and go home.

“There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live—did live, from habit that became instinct—in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized.” ~ George Orwell, 1984

Yes, this is your obvious cue to read up on the infamous Boiling Frog Story.

The boiling frog story is a widespread anecdote describing a frog slowly being boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death. The story is often used as a metaphor for the inability of people to react to significant changes that occur gradually. According to contemporary biologists the premise of the story is not literally true; an actual frog submerged and gradually heated will jump out. However, a variety of 19th century research experiments suggested that the underlying premise is true, provided the heating is gradual enough.

Let’s get one thing straight: As I indicated several months ago on conservative radio’s Jimmy Z Show, this so-called “Net Neutrality” has absolutely nothing to do with ensuring everyone has the same internet access speed, providing internet access to everyone from sea to shining sea, enhancing your internet experience, etc. This is all about a huge power grab, ensuring that “Big Brother” can have total surveillance over Web 2.0, which takes another step towards a police state in America. In combination with the TSA’s “porn or grope” methodology, this is a proverbial “one-two punch” to the foundational structure of our great Republic. The Fourth Amendment to The US Constitution is the part of The Bill of Rights which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures. The amendment specifically also requires search and arrest warrants be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause. This not only applies to the unconstitutional methods of the TSA ~ which should be immediately dispelled… ~ but to any type of surveilled communications scenario, where for instance, email is monitored and internet traffic analyzed via FCC regulations, as part of their net neutrality BS. The Fourth Amendment also applies to privacy in internet-based communications.

On January 30, 2007, The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in United States v. Ziegler, 497 F.3d 890 reversed its earlier August 2006 decision upon a petition for rehearing. In contrast to the earlier decision, the Court acknowledged that an employee has a right to privacy in his workplace computer.

Yes, the US Government is basically taking The Constitution out of its glass case in front of us, putting it into the shredder, and then pouring lighter fluid on it, before burning it into ashes. What gets me more pissed off than anything else, is that the American citizens are standing by and essentially doing nothing meaningful to stopping these idiots, before things get completely out of control ~ unless we’ve already passed the stupidity tipping point, of course. I do not think that Europe is a role model for America in general ~ let’s face it… we ran the Hell away from there for some great reasons… ~ however, can you imagine what would transpire if these black-uniform police state mechanisms were implemented in Western Europe? Actually, you don’t have to as we’ve all viewed the Greek, French and Irish riots, haven’t we? Can you visualize walking down Main Street in your town, and seeing people on fire and anarchists hurling Molotov Cocktails?!

If I am right ~ and, I hope I am WRONG… ~ pretty soon, we’ll see civil unrest in America that will make the 1960s look like pre-schoolers at recess. Is everyone blind to the fact that the feds are slowly but surely taking more and more control and power of America, and isolating that to a centralized state government? I hope I am not the only one that realizes that this is what Lenin and Stalin executed during the “glory days” of The Soviet Union.

“We can’t expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism. I once said, ‘We will bury you,’ and I got into trouble with it. Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you.” ~ Nikita Khrushchev

Just to give you some insight into what’s REALLY going on, the FCC is simply bypassing Congress and our system of checks and balances, in order to gain as much power as possible in the shortest period of time. They want to regulate the internet, and why? Because the internet is symbolic of our First Amendment right to freedom of speech and expression (freedom of the press ~ we e-Publish now), and if we allow Big Brother to regulate the internet, we are allowing the FCC to regulate our life, freedom and liberty. Don’t let them get away with it ~ stand and fight for what you believe in, and what The Founding Fathers wanted America to represent!

Could it be that “The Media Marxists” are upset that they don’t have their monopoly in the form of ABC, CBS and NBC any longer, and they want to have their gatekeeper role again, so that we are brainwashed by the mainstream media’s version of “The Truth?” Even better, this regulation will extend beyond the normal use of the internet, all the way down to any internet-capable devices that rely on internet connectivity to function, such as your Bluetooth, GPS, and yes, your smartphones will be dumbed-down, I assure you.

From a former clinical psychology major’s perspective, The US Government is abusing the pervasive studies that show how laboratory rats can have behavioral modification techniques used against them, in order for the experimenter to achieve his/her desired result, which is to transform their personality and behaviors into those that are sanctioned by the centralized controlling body ~ in our case, this is The US Government. How can they make us into their slaves? Control, taxation, oppression and tyranny.

“We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds…[we will] have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers… And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for[ another]… till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery… And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson

Now, here is the technology consultant and entrepreneur talking: I spend most of my professional career ensuring that NOTHING in a corporate enterprise is neutral. If it were, then the delivery of technology services to end users would be compromised, negatively impacted, and these individuals would be more likely to jump ship and use another competitive service, etc. It is via these high-end customizations, that a technology service paradigm is configured, so that internet bandwidth is optimized for both end-user experience and the generation of revenue, in the case of for-profit corporations.

Net Monopoly

Net Monopoly

The last thing we need is for the government to swoop in, in the form of the FCC, so that they can get their hands on the internet, and destroy everything good about it. My prediction is that if we allow this to transpire, that the NASDAQ will lose a minimum of 10% of total wealth in the course of 1-2 months, and literally thousands of jobs will be lost ~ Editor’s Note: Not “saved…” ~ in the process, as companies like Cisco will see that their long-term strategic objectives are up in the air, not unlike the corporate response to ObamaCare, and therefore, they will cut the cord on potential revenue-bearing activities, and go into total “save for a rainy day” mode. This move by the FCC is an extension of The Patriot Acts, which basically gives the US Government whatever power they want in the name of prevention of terrorism, in order to impede upon the lives of US Citizens. Don’t look at each of these initiatives as stand-alone projects and/or legislation. Believe me, this is part of an elaborate agenda, and each of these projects is intertwined ~ pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that lead to maximum oppression and tyranny. The common denominator is that the centralized government REGULATES YOUR LIFE!

“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” ~ Ayn Rand

Do not be foolish and naive enough to actually believe that the FCC, or the government in general is doing anything for your benefit. They do not care about you, your family, your friends, or your neighbors. They are only interested in corrupting the foundation of America, so that they can steal as much money, power, control, influence, etc. from you. You are not a person in their eyes. You are a number. You are a slave, and instead of using manacles and chains, you are being enslaved by $15 Trillion in debt that will continue past your years, to ensure that dozens of generations of Americans are bound and gagged ~ held hostage in their own homeland. So, what are you doing to do? Are you going to just sit there, read this, and complain to people about how life is unfair and you hate the way things are in America? This is completely useless, as is becoming a walking encyclopedia as to what the pundits on Fox News unveil on a daily basis.

Do you really need to hear or learn more about how the powers-that-be are literally gutting The United States of America, before you take action? Instead, you should be taking action NOW, before you have one less thing to be thankful about this Holiday Season: YOUR FREEDOM AND LIBERTY!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Let’s get to work!

The Mid-Term Meaning ~ by Dave Redl

The Mid-Term Meaning ~ by Dave Redl

American National Defense: No Guts? NO GLORY! ~ by Michael Stollaire

When exactly was it that we forgot how to fight wars to WIN in an immediate and decisive fashion, so that we might destroy the enemy as quickly as possible, in order to save American lives? On top of that, we seem to have totally forgotten about several of our prominent allies, which allow us to retain our world superpower status: Israel most notably, followed today by our total apathy regarding the deadly slaughter initiated by North Korea on the island of Yeonpyeong, which is a disputed territory. Gone are the days where enemies of our allies were deathly afraid of attacking them, simply because The USA was standing behind them, daring them to cross the line, and face immediate retaliation from the American armed forces.

“Speak loudly, but carry a big stick!” ~ President Theodore Roosevelt

First of all, North Korea and Iran are developing their nuclear weapons programs in plain sight, basically giving the finger to America. Why? Because they also realize we have forgotten how to fight and win wars ~ the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts have us spread too thin, just as in the latter days of Alexander the Great‘s worldwide empire. Instead of taking a maximum of one month to handle Afghanistan and Iraq, acting like the sole military superpower of the world, we’ve turned wars into prolonged occupations that are slowly but surely bleeding us dry. Just as Osama Bin Laden stated quite clearly years ago, Al-Qaeda is not leveraging military might to destroy America ~ instead, they will create an environment of fear through terrorist activities, and destroy us from within, targeting our financial infrastructure.

The terrorists seem to be winning. Why?

Are The Terrorists Winning?

Are The Terrorists Winning?

In short, we’re trying to fight wars in a politically-correct and nice fashion, instead of simply giving our military leaders all of the resources that they need immediately, plus a 25% cushion, to ensure ultimate victory in the shortest period of time. Instead of waiting months on end to get boots on the ground into Afghanistan, forcing our generals to basically get down on their hands and knees to beg for much-needed reinforcements in a newly developed surge campaign, Obama sits on his hands, plays a few round of golf, and poses for more photo ops before he finally gives in and gives General Petraeus 75% of what he asked for, ensuring additional American casualties. This is disgusting, and cowardice at its best. I would almost go so far as to say that this is treasonous behavior by the so-called “Commander in Chief.” We need to elect strong leaders to the Presidential post ~ personally, I want Putin, etc. to be AFRAID of our President, instead of being pals. The same could be said of Iraq ~ we’ve been at war for the better part of a decade, and I believe that our withdrawal from these two campaign theaters will result in civil war in both territories. Therefore, we can and MUST give our military leaders everything they need to pummel the enemy into complete submission, followed by setting up a strong foundational democratic government in both areas, supported by all necessary resources to ensure that these fledgling countries survive and prosper, instead of setting them up for failure and civil disorder.

General David Petraeus

General David Petraeus

If we actually fought wars to win, such as in World War II (WWII), we would’ve already freed up resources to focus on defending Israel and South Korea from Iran and North Korea respectfully ~ it’s my firm opinion that if we were to execute military operations in this fashion that these two enemies would not have dared to work against that which we had sanctioned them for.

I’ve said this before, and I will say it here again: Why is it that America can wipe out Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito in four (4) years, but we cannot defeat insurgents armed with much lesser armaments in tribal countries in ten (10) years?! We’ve obviously embarked on even greater expansion of our territories abroad in order to obtain and control the natural resources in these areas. The problem is that our national debt is closing in on $15 Trillion, and we cannot afford it. We’re spending ourselves into oblivion, and making Abraham Lincolns prophecy come true:

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

Here is our pitiful response to the North Korean attack, which should be viewed as a declaration of war on South Korea:

The United States also offered quick comment, with the White House saying it “strongly condemns” the “belligerent action” by North Korea. “Right now it is too soon,” Pentagon spokesman Colonel Dave Lapan said, adding, “At this point it is premature to say we are considering any action on this.”

This is simply unacceptable. After the flash point earlier this year, when North Korea sank a South Korean destroyer in April 2010, we should’ve “condemned” them then, leveraged a United Nations (UN) resolution against them, asking for the most powerful economic sanctions available, and made them fully aware that we were moving the arsenal of The South Pacific Fleet into that area, which would rain down incendiary payloads on Pyongyang, all high-quality infrastructure targets, along with bunker buster bombs on all of their nuclear facilities, just to ensure that their entire infrastructure was leveled.

I can say the exact same thing about Iran. We are letting them develop nuclear weapons in plain sight, and if they go nuclear, the entire balance of power in The Middle East shifts dramatically. We would be back to square one, but instead of facing Saddam Hussein, we’ve got Mahmoud “Nut Job” Ahmadinejad instead ~ this man is Iran’s version of Hitler or Stalin, whichever you prefer. His picture should be in Wikipedia, right next to the term “Radical Islam.” I thought Kim Jong-il was berserk, but Ahmadinejad makes him look stable in comparison. Ahmadinejad hates and wants to destroy The USA and Israel, and yes, I think he’s insane enough to actually use nuclear weapons against both of his prime targets, also known as “The Small Satan” (Israel) and “The Big Satan.” (The USA)

In short, although most of the world was “stunned” when Senator Lindsey Graham made the following statement, I stood up, smiled and applauded the television:

“A leading U.S. senator on defense issues says any military strike on Iran to stop its nuclear program must also strive to take out Iran’s military capability. Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican who sits on the Armed Services Committee and the Homeland Security Committee, said Saturday the U.S. should consider sinking the Iranian navy, destroying its air force and delivering a decisive blow to the Revolutionary Guard. He says they should neuter the regime, destroy its ability to fight back and hope Iranians will take a chance to take back their government.”

This is exactly how to conduct a military campaign, if the objective is to achieve ultimate victory in the shortest period of time, in order to save American lives, and ensure success. This is not the infamous military industrial complex gone out of control. This is America standing as the symbol of freedom and liberty in the world, and informing all our enemies that we will not compromise, when it comes to our freedom and the safety of our allies! I am certain that the Iranian people would celebrate in the streets, especially the women. That party would be second only to that in Tel Aviv, followed by the first time in history where Benjamin Netanyahu would send a bouquet of flowers to The White House. Just a little prediction… We need to return to the days of the near past, when true leaders like Goldwater and Reagan were at the helm and we felt safe, versus the current group of uber-leftists who are too concerned with public opinion, the responses of the socialist Democrats in Washington DC, and an ideology that belongs only in a left-wing utopia. They are a bunch of cowards that are more worried about their reelection in 2012, instead of the safety and well-being of the American citizens, which they took an oath to protect and serve ~ instead, they consider us THEIR SERVANTS. Maybe it’s time to remind them all that we are living in REALITY?

If you’re going to fight, it’s time to review the work of Ali and Tyson: first round, first minute… knock out!

Let’s get to work!

China: Internet Traffic Scandal… Explained ~ by Michael Stollaire

Subtitled: Why Technology Czars are Completely Useless

I’ve read more than a few articles about China’s state-run telecommunications (a.k.a., telco) company hijacking internet traffic from several of our more prominent government agencies and military websites, such as The US Senate, the Department of Defense, and “many others” including national space agency The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for 18 minutes on Thursday, April 8, 2010.

“Affected was traffic going to and from U.S. .gov and .mil sites, including sites for the Senate, the four main armed services branches, the office of the Secretary of Defense, NASA, the Department of Commerce, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and others, according to the report. Commercial websites for large technology companies ~ including Dell, Yahoo, Microsoft and IBM… ~ also were re-routed during the diversion period. Other servers around the world adopted the path opened up by China Telecom as well; during the 18 minutes, traffic to about 15 percent of Internet destinations was routed through servers located in China.”

Before I get into the utter incompetence of our national security and Aneesh Chopra ~ Obama’s Technology Czar, I am going to ask you a simple question: If this happened on April 8, 2010, why are we finding out about this pervasive security breech now, seven (7) months later, instead of this being a zero-day initiative, where we detect the technology exploit, ascertain the source(s) of the attack, develop a comprehensive defense against the exploit, and report this to public organizations like The Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT), etc. so that others might have information on-hand to prevent these types of cyber attacks?

We would all assume that if we are funding these organizations with billions of our tax dollars that they would ensure that all of the necessary cybersecurity precautions were taken (a.k.a., “hardening”) and we had the best technology talent that money could buy. Wrong again!

What could have possibly motivated Obama to appoint Chopra to the Technology Czar position? Control, greed, influence, money and power, of course. Experience and competence are overrated, after all. You do recall what California’s US Senator, Barbara Boxer said in a similar situation, responding to the common criticism that Kagan has never before served as a judge? She called Kagan’s lack of judicial experience “refreshing.” There you go again…

One look at Chopra’s curriculum vitae (CV) will show you that his resume abounds with technology experience associated with… you guessed it… health care. Obviously, Obama appointed him as America’s CTO, because he believed that this would grease the techie skids for ObamaCare ~ you know, that unconstitutional abomination that a majority of the states are taking steps to nullify, and the two-thousand (2,000) page piece of legislation that the Republicans are targeting for “repeal and replace?” FYI, one of the more overlooked elements of the massive Republican victories during the 2010 tsunami, was the number of Republican governors that won their races ~ a double-digit tally flipped for the GOP, so on January 3, 2011, these Governors can give the green light to their Attorney Generals to sue The Federal Government, regarding ObamaCare.

I, for one, can say on the record that I would rather be healthy AND safe.

WHAT HAPPENED:

On April 8, 2010 a series of network traffic changes took place, associated with a small internet service provider (ISP), and then, taken over by China Telecom which is owned and operated by the Chinese government, and represents over 60% of all bandwidth delivered within China. I have read several articles where the writers refer to “servers” being leveraged in order to make this transpire ~ this is not the case, and these writers need to have technology professionals on-hand, in order to sanitize their articles previous to publication.

Note: It’s always good to know what the Hell you’re talking about, previous to writing an article about a topic of your choice.

Without making your eyes glaze over with technospeak, I want to give you all a little background, as to what the internet is, and how it works at the ten-thousand (10,000) foot level. There is a good reason why people refer to stuff that is traveling on The Information Highway as “traffic,” because networks including the internet itself, are based on concepts that are inherent to a train system. You have a PC or if you are at work, the PC is deemed a “workstation,” and you will typically leverage and connect to larger, more powerful computers called servers that will give you information. This is what us technology people refer to as client-server networks. For instance, when you point your browser to http://www.google.com to search for great articles by Michael Stollaire on the internet, many powerful Google servers are responding to your requests, and serving information back to you. This is not unlike being in a full-service restaurant, where the client (your PC) sits down at a table, the waiter/waitress takes an order (your request), and serves you your food. You are leveraging the server’s resources, to fulfill your request to your satisfaction.

As you can already see thus far, servers do not route traffic. Routers route traffic!

Destination networks are the equivalent of train stations in this analogy ~ just as if you were to purchase a ticket from New York City to Los Angeles, you represent one packet of traffic on the network… the smallest element of information that is wrapped up, and sent over the wire. When you get on the train at your home station, the packet travels to a device called a router. You’ve got one in your own home, in the form of a wireless access point, cable modem, etc. This is how your internet connection works. Unless you are very lucky, you will not travel directly from New York City to Los Angeles. Instead, you will make several stops along the way ~ in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and finally… my home: The City of the Angels. Each one of these stops is another router in the network. When you went to your home station, you bought a ticket for your destination and that ticket included information about all the stops that you would need to take along the way ~ this is what we refer to as the “header” of the packet, so that you don’t end up taking the proverbial “wrong turn at Albuquerque.” The header ensures that you traverse the correct routers on the network, so that packet (you) reach the correct destination.

"Hmmm... I knew I should've taken that left turn at Albuquerque!" ~ Bugs Bunny

"Hmmm... I knew I should've taken that left turn at Albuquerque!" ~ Bugs Bunny

You can now see that it was a router on the internet in Chinese territory that diverted traffic from the smaller privately-owned ISP to the Chinese government. This was not an accident, just like flipping a switch and diverting 15% of all routed trains from Chicago to Dallas isn’t an accident. Code on the routers would have had to have been maliciously and purposefully changed, in order for this transgression to take place, and previous to that move being made, a lot of black hat hacking was done on non-Chinese routers to make that happen.

This is where it gets interesting. After the packet’s header has been read, it traverses all of the correct routers to get to the desired destination. When the packet hits the wire, the least congested route is determined, and the packet is launched onto the internet. As soon as the destination is reached, it’s just like getting off the train in the Los Angeles train station. You’re close to home, but not quite… it’s like the address on a piece of mail, moving from general to specific, so that the packet reaches the exact destination on the letter. This address is referred to as the Internet Protocol (IP) Address of the destination PC or workstation, and when combined with the hardware address (a.k.a., MAC Address) of the target machine, we have identified a unique destination for the information, and minimized the chances of address spoofing ~ hackers can be pretty wily when it comes to impersonations. When I say “wily,” this can be read as: gray-area borderline criminal activity.

Before we can get back home, we need to take a taxi, a rental car, the shuttle, or get picked up by friends and family to get there. This is another train analogy, and the device on the internet is known as a switch. Just like a switch on the train track, forces the train to move from one route to another, the switch on the internet forces traffic ~ in the form of individual packets… ~ to move from one specific route to the route that will take it directly to the device with the specific IP address mentioned in the header of the packet. In other words, you stepped into the rental car, powered on your Global Positioning System (GPS) navigator and began moving down your main route, but the GPS switches you onto the appropriate routes that will get you home fastest, such as route 405, to the 101 ~ you get to The San Fernando Valley, and are prompted for the correct exit, down to the correct street, and finally, your exact destination ~ the IP address and MAC address of the target device.

The Internet is nothing more than a global network that was originally designed to connect technology associated with the US military, US government and educational organizations, such as the universities associated with all Cold War military projects. It’s a bunch of routers, switches, servers and workstations/PCs that are all hooked together, which circles the globe.

Now, of course, we’ve leveraged this miracle of modern-day technology in order to design South Park caricatures of ourselves, post favorite recipes for soup, and tweet important messages like “I’m deciding between white or wheat bread at the grocery store.” Remember… comments here on my blog are welcome, but make sure you Facebook me and re-tweet this. Thanks, Zuckerberg. (Sigh!)

Believe it or not, you should now understand what the internet is, and how it functions, unless your head has already exploded ~ if the latter is the case, my sincere apologies, otherwise… Congratulations!

“The level of access afforded by such a diversion also could have enabled the firm to conduct surveillance on specific users or sites, disrupt a data transaction, prevent a user from connecting to a site or send data somewhere a user did not intend, according to the report.”

From our discussion above, you can understand that once a core router is compromised via a designed exploit, we can divert internet traffic anywhere we would like, switching it to a target destination other than that which is dictated in the header of the packets. Enter the network analyzer, which we tech heads refer to as a “sniffer.” This device is designed to sniff traffic on the wire, and once this baby is hooked in, all of the traffic can be analyzed, decrypted and viewed in plain text, exported and dumped out to a Microsoft Word document, if you like.

GAME OVER.

RULE #8: I WOULD RATHER BE 99% PARANOID, THAN 100% COMPROMISED!

Anyone up for another game of Devil’s Advocate? I certainly am. We’re not talking about you sending a “Get Well” e-card to your Aunt Rosie from your gmail account here folks. We’re talking about communications from the office of The Secretary of Defense, NASA, etc. and 15% of all internet traffic. Try to imagine how much information passes along the internet in a standard fifteen-minute time period. We’re not talking about terabytes of information ~ we are in petabytes land. To put this into perspective, AT&T has about nineteen (19) petabytes of data transferred through their networks each day. This is just one major ISP, and the internet is composed of the traffic from ALL ISPs.

We simply do not want China to know about the exact content of the emails of Robert Gates, and for that matter since Big Technology was spooked as well, BILL Gates! You know the drill: technology is invented for peaceful uses, gets into the hands of the military and is weaponized ~ make no mistake about it, Google Labs is a potential cyberwarfare tool, and after breaches like this, we can conclude that we are totally in the open and unprotected. This would have been the ultimate achievement of The Soviet Union’s KGB during The Cold War, and YES, this is what we commonly refer to as being “totally hosed.”

PREVENTION AND SOLUTIONS:

  • If Chopra was a man of honor ~ which he’s obviously not… ~ he would have resigned, since this occurred on his watch, but he did not. Therefore, Obama should terminate his employment immediately, and name a successor that is actually qualified to get the job done
  • Approach Big Technology in order to leverage existing resources ~ hardware, software code, consultants, etc. ~ to perform ongoing, randomized third-party audits of our government infrastructure, to provide comprehensive risk reports with tactical and strategic corrective actions
  • Refresh all existing hardware, operating systems (OSs), hotfixes, patches, and applications which are identified as potential security risks
  • Execute external and internal penetration tests of the entire government infrastructure
  • Perform hardening activities to mitigate all potential risks identified by the aforementioned penetration tests
  • Perform comprehensive ongoing and randomized background and drug tests on all government technology personnel
  • Ensure that all technology personnel performing government and military work are held to a standard of excellence that is world-class, and are recruited from the top universities, being compensated in a fashion that will provide incentive for them to excel and minimize turnover

The Soviet weapons program proper began in 1943 during World War II, under the leadership of physicist Igor Vasilievich Kurchatov. The program was initiated by reports collected by Soviet intelligence about the rapidly growing Manhattan Project in the U.S. It remained largely an intelligence operation until the end of the war, but it was a highly successful one, due to sympathies of many for the wartime Soviet Union fighting Nazi Germany; the socialist political sympathies of some; and the weak security screening program necessitated by the hasty assembly of the vast program. Klaus Fuchs, an important physicist at Los Alamos, was by far the most valuable contributor of atomic information.

Remember… what made America into a superpower was the development of nuclear weapons in the 1940s. It has been almost seventy (70) years, and you can only imagine what’s being developed in Area 51 as this is being written. Many may disagree with me, but I feel that our primary enemies are, in no certain order, Al-Qaeda, China, Iran and North Korea, along with the divisive individuals within our borders that are enemies of the state and traitors. For The USA to remain the world’s only superpower, and to protect our freedom and liberty, we must always stay two steps ahead ~ if not more… ~ of the enemy.

Let’s get to work!
